Executive Director, Judy Weber-Israel, and Tobinworld students give "Two Thumbs Up" for Perfect Attendance
Benefit! Benefit! Benefit! We are so very happy to announce that The Insurance Brokers Association (IBA) of the San Fernando Valley is planning a Benefit for Tobinworld on Saturday, September 8, 2007!!!! The evening will include an elegant dinner, entertainment, and a silent auction. All of the proceeds will go to benefit Tobinworld!!!
We need to raise funds due to state budget cuts and the fact that we need new buses and playground equipment. I do hope you can join us for this wonderful evening. If you can’t attend, we will happily accept any donation, large or small. Please call us if you need any further information. Hope to see you there!
Wow! Our students have been working so hard to have “perfect attendance” this summer. About 178 students earned special rewards and field trips due to the fact that they made their perfect attendance contract. See a photo of one of our special banners below. Throughout this Newsletter you will see many other photos of activities and field trips that have taken place this summer at Tobinworld. Lots of reward photos appear in this issue too! All in all, Tobinworld had a super summer!
Just a reminder that the Fall semester starts again on September 10th. Guess what? For this coming semester, we are planning many, many, more “perfect attendance” super surprises.
This past semester, we had a fabulous graduation ceremony. We actually graduated and culminated 20 students, our largest class in 30 years! The ceremony was attended by many loving families and friends. Everyone enjoyed watching our graduates make it official by tossing their tassels! See photos on page 5.
Don’t forget Tobinworld II. Photos can be found on the back page of this Newsletter. Tobinworld II will be moving to Antioch, California around February of 2008! We can’t wait! We are anxiously awaiting the completion of our new school building.
